K-foam Aviation Fire Foam Concentrate is readily biodegradable and completely fluorine free and recommended when ICAO Level B certification is required. It is an excellent, non-toxic alternative to the standard Aqueous Film Forming Foam Concentrates.
Fast knock-down and extinguishment ability, performs expeditiously on aviation fuel spills and flames (Jet A and Jet A1).
K-foam Aviation Fire Foam Concentrate can be effectively diluted with fresh, salt, or hard water.
Applications include:
- Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicles
- Aircraft hangars, helidecks and terminals
- Mobile emergency response equipment
K-foam Aviation was designed to meet the requirements of NFPA 403, Standard for Aircraft Rescue and Fire-Fighting Services at Airports.
Some of the characteristics of the K-foam Aviation solution, including suppression mechanisms for a quick fire knockdown and burnack resistance are due to:

- Its aqueous foam blanket blocks oxygen supply to the fuel.
- The liquid drains, forming an aqueous polymer barrier that suppresses fuel vapor.
- The foam solution’s water component creates a cooling effect, which aids in fire suppression.
- It is an excellent drop in replacement, a non-toxic, non-carcinogenic alternative to the standard Aqueous Film Forming Foam fluorine containing concentrates.
